The 14th United Nations day of Wesak in Sri Lanka (2017 May 13) is a special occasion for Sati Pasala, with the launch of its new website (www.satipasala.org).
During a mindfulness introduction program at Nissarana Vanaya, 74 participants (Teachers, Deputy Principals and Principals) representing 26 Sinhala Medium schools and 3 Tamil medium schools, Sati Pasala was presented.
The first Mindfulness Camp organized under the umbrella of Sati Pasela was held in April 10-12.
In the past Pirivena was a self-managed institution, but since about 60 years it became part of the government education system. Today Pirivena Education comes directly under the purview of the Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka.
On April 2nd in Kurunegala at Daham Medura the little participants below, enjoyed their first Sati Pasela experience.
